I signed up to The Visible Woman because the title of the newsletter caught my attention as it exactly addressed my need, which was to be visible on LinkedIn. It made me realise that there was such a thing as LinkedIn culture, which I had to learn. I realised the newsletter would be a rapid way of amassing relevant information in a short space of time.

The newsletter arrives on Monday; it captures the exuberance of its writer, Mildred Talabi, and is a great way to start the week. Each week the topics help me to move closer to the goal of visibility on LinkedIn with clear themes, key guidelines and suggestions for tasks. I love that in her newsletter Mildred engages you at an emotional level. And her memorable sayings help to reinforce the targeted actions – for example, "If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you."

As a result of Mildred’s newsletters, I have focused my invitations to connect and the connections I accept to be mostly those in my line of work and interest. I have also put aside time to engage with my key connections on LinkedIn on a regular basis by commenting on their posts. This has led to increased invitations to connect and some interesting discussions and opportunities to work together. Excellent results in a short space of time.
